Based in the Turtle Rock neighborhood of Irvine, California. Established in 1989, Troop 612 prides itself on being boy-lead, and parent supported. Troop 612 is a member of the Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. Troop Mission

To learn, promote, teach, and display good citizenship; encourage, model, and build character and fitness; and foster the participation in community service, through a balanced program of fun, fellowship, and education based on patrol and troop hiking, backpacking, and leadership training. Troop 612 is dedicated to the concept of being boy led with support and guidance from adult leaders.
